What is the best research paper topic? Most people have a tough time deciding what topic to write their papers around. I can tell you however that there is only one topic that I have ever had trouble with in my whole academic career. It was a subject that I did not care for but that I needed to write a paper on so I went ahead and decided to write about it anyway. When I could have picked any other topic, I’d have loved to have done so but this was the subject that I decided I loathed.

For instance, physical education has lots of pros and cons and also the first two subjects I came up with were physical fitness and physical education. These have their own pros and cons but I actually liked physical education so I recorded that first.

I came up with this since I actually enjoyed reading a blog concerning the suffrage movement and the way people were beginning to get out and vote. I chose to discuss the motives behind why the suffrage movement became so successful and Lincoln’s supporters were still going to vote for him no matter what.

Another one of my favorite research paper topics was to write about the politics of education in the United States. I came up with this subject because I felt as though Lincoln was actually the last leader of the American schooling system and that I thought it’d be interesting to talk about his role in education. One of the cons about education in america is that there are a few really poor schools in the country and a few really wealthy schools as well. There is also a huge gender gap from the student body. I decided to write about all these items in my paper.

Eventually, another of my good research paper topics was to write concerning same-sex marriages in the United States. A few years back, there was a Supreme Court judgment that essentially said that a union must be between a man and a girl and not between two women or three girls. But, there are still states in the US that allow same-sex unions. I chose to write about this briefly in my essay as it is interesting and could be a fantastic subject for a thesis statement at the conclusion of the dissertation.

All these subjects are ones I had a personal fascination with and researched about as a doctoral student in Social Science. In conclusion, there are many different ways you could choose to research your own papers. You can choose to discuss a current event that you’re very interested in, you are able to share something from the past which you know is applicable or even something that you yourself are very interested in, like gun control. Whatever you choose to do, do not forget that you have many alternatives to select from and you’ve got a lot of research paper topics to choose from too!
